Just a Spritz

More than 50 Simple Sparkling Sips with Low to No Alcohol.

Just a SpritzSummer is right around the corner. The weather is warmer and perfect for entertaining. Enjoying drinks with friends is on the horizon but we hope that hangovers are not. This neat little book called Just a Spritz offers 57 recipes for low- and non-alcoholic drinks. There is something for every taste.

In Just a Spritz, author Danielle Centoni shares her inspired spritz variations. A spritz is quick to make and does not require a pile of ingredients. The book is conveniently arranged by flavour profile and theme, so it’s easy to find the ideal combination for a crowd.

Just a Spritz gives advice about making syrups and shrubs to enhance one’s drinks, and then it’s on to the delicious array of drinks. I have quite a few favourites from this book: The Aperol is a classic with an adult bitter personality. Lady Lavender is perfumed and pretty as a picture. The American Mule uses Rye Whiskey and will likely be more popular than the original recipe this year. The Flu Fighter would make anybody feel better: that combination of whisky, honey, lemon and ginger is a tried-and-true success.

Just a Spritz is a lovely addition to any barman’s book collection. The recipes are adaptable and unique.
