But it’s from Grapes.
Le Camin is one of the Famille Fabre estate’s hidden gems. It is an ‘Orange’ wine made with a very special vinification process. It is orange in colour but is produced from grapes in Le Languedoc in the south of France. Camin means “path” in Occitan, and is also the name of the parcel of land in the heart of the Boutenac terroir.
This is a Limited Edition wine with only 2000 bottles produced each year. The wine has spent three weeks’ maceration on skin followed by unique ageing in a 1000-litre dolium. A dolium is a large round earthenware jar which was popular in the Roman era for storage and transportation of goods. A rather romantic departure from the usual stainless steel or wood!
