Lingering and full-bodied.
The winery that today produces Luigi Bosca Cabernet Sauvignon was founded in 1901 by Leoncio Arizu, a Spanish citizen from Navarra who settled in Mendoza, Argentina, in 1890. Bodega Luigi Bosca is the country’s oldest family-owned winery. Today third and fourth generations of the Arizu family, Alberto Senior and Alberto Junior, both run this polished wine business.
De Sangre is the name of this particular winery in the Uco Valley, which is part of the Luigi Bosca collection. This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from select estate vineyard plots located in Las Compuertas, Agrelo, Gualtallary and Altamira. This is a full-bodied wine which has been jointly produced in a collaboration between engineer Alberto Arizu and winemaker Pablo Cúneo.
Ripe tannins and balanced acidity
Cabernet Sauvignon is the world’s most popular red wine grape, a natural cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. This deep red wine offers blackberry along with the typical peppery notes so prized by those who appreciate this style of wine. There are hints of toast and leather resulting from barrel aging and there are ripe tannins and balanced acidity giving a mellow and lingering finish.
It a rich red mouth-filling wine which complements robust red meat dishes and even some strong cheeses. This Luigi Bosca de Sangre is the classic expression of this much-loved wine. A wine that can be enjoyed now or laid down for up to ten years. The perfect gift for any serious wine lover.
