Mildreds launches the ultimate plant-based Christmas.
This Christmas season, Mildreds, the iconic vegan restaurant at the heart of London, is bringing all the warmth and magic of the holidays to its tables with a festive plant-based menu crafted by celebrated chef Sarah Wasserman. From festive crackers and holiday photo props to an inclusive, joyfully decked atmosphere, Mildreds invites everyone to celebrate together over a holiday meal designed to capture the rich, nostalgic tastes of the season—reimagined with a creative, vegan twist.
With its recently reopened, beautifully expanded flagship in Soho, Mildreds is ready to welcome guests into a cozy, holiday dining experience perfect for Christmas parties and get-togethers. The new design of the iconic Mildreds townhouse has created more space as well as a second floor 18-seater private dining area and event space. The new look Mildreds now offers dining over three floors.
Chef Sarah Wasserman’s holiday menu features reimagined classics, hearty seasonal dishes, and deliciously indulgent desserts, each one a tribute to her dedication to bold, globally inspired flavours. Every dish is crafted with the joy of sharing and celebrating together in mind. Sarah said: “No one should miss out during the holiday season, so we’ve been hard at work since summer crafting our best Christmas menu yet!
“This year, we’re offering two delicious roast options: a pine nut, cannellini, and sun-blushed tomato roast, and a creamy leek dauphinoise lattice. Both come with all the classic trimmings—golden roast potatoes, maple-glazed parsnips and carrots, a creamy sweet potato purée, spiced red cabbage, tender-stem broccoli, and a rich red wine gravy. And for an extra touch of indulgence, we’re including a side of truffled cauliflower cheese.
“To make this feast truly special, we’ve even developed a vegan Yorkshire pudding. And of course, we couldn’t forget dessert. To wrap up the meal, we’re serving a plant-based yule log made with light chocolate sponge, tangy sour cherries, and a rich chocolate ganache, served with whipped Chantilly cream. We can’t wait for you to enjoy this festive feast with us—it’s our way of making sure everyone is invited to the party.”
Heartwarming trimmings
The Christmas menu at Mildreds, available as a two-course meal for £35 or three courses for £44, is filled with Wasserman’s signature seasonal touches. Available November 20th to December 24th from 12 noon. The 2-course option is available in Dalston, Camden, King’s Cross, and Victoria locations only. Guests can start with vibrant small plates like the Ras el Hanout Cauliflower with saffron tahini yogurt and pistachio dukkah, or the Arancini Rosso with smoked paprika mushroom risotto, paired with a festive garlic aioli. The main course stars—the Creamy Leek Dauphinoise Lattice and Toasted Pine Nut Cannellini Loaf—come with traditional, heartwarming trimmings and vegan Yorkshire pudding. Desserts like the indulgent Black Forest Yule Log and White Chocolate Tiramisu provide a sweet and satisfying end to the holiday meal.
Alongside her holiday menu, Wasserman has authored three beloved cookbooks—Mildreds Vegetarian, Mildreds Vegan, and Mildreds Easy Vegan. Her most recent, Mildreds Easy Vegan, is a go-to for festive home cooking, filled with crowd-pleasing recipes like plant-based dips, festive mains, and indulgent desserts to bring a little Mildreds magic into your own home this Christmas.
